Security
How we protect TapIt Connect and the data you trust us with, in plain terms. We are a small company in beta; this page describes only what is actually in place.
Access
- Accounts are by invitation only. There is no open sign-up.
- Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash.
- Each team sees only its own plants and records.
- Daily usage limits cap automated or abusive use.
Data
- Data is hosted on Google Cloud in the United States.
- All traffic to the website and app is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Links to manufacturer documents expire shortly after they are issued.
- Service providers that process data for us do so under confidentiality obligations. See the Privacy Policy.
Incidents
If we confirm a security incident affecting your personal information or what you submitted, we will tell you within 72 hours.
Report a problem
If you find a security issue, email us at the address below. Please give us a reasonable chance to fix it before telling anyone else. We will not take action against good-faith research that avoids other people’s data and does not disrupt the service.
